Tom Clancy's The Division – Free Update 1.8 – Resistance – Exit Trailer

Agents, a free update will be available tomorrow. All of the above is nothing more than a slice of information. This is more of an impression than a fundamental review (or no less serious review). Why? Yes, because you can’t dig deep where this “deep” can change in a month. Today, The Division is the one we described. Tomorrow it may become even better, or it may break, until the authors correct everything under the righteous (or not so) oppression of the audience. Amazing thing: against the background of Assassin’s Creed, which has fallen on edge, at Ubisoft for the second time in a row they found strength for something bold, original and tearing up templates. At first terribly pleasant, but the small town Far Cry Primal. Now the grand The Division, which, I want to believe, has a great future. So not long to get used to the good.

But immediately after the release, it became clear that The Division is one of the best online games of the year (so far only Overwatch stands out from the competition). Conceptually, she develops Destiny ideas, where the whole world revolves around your hero. Here you interact with other players only at strictly defined moments – they do not get underfoot, do not spoil the mood and do not steal “your” story. Unlike Destiny, whose events took place in tiny locations scattered throughout the solar system, The Division world is much more solid and convincing – the developers have recreated in detail a huge piece of New York.

The developers of The Division are not alien to a sense of humor – for example, one of the strongholds of the authorities is located in the former New York office of Ubisoft. New York at The Division is almost dead – it was swamped by bioterrorist epidemics of influenza and smallpox. The city is quarantined, the military lose the war to bandits, and citizens who are deprived of food and medicine survive as best they can. To save the situation, the government uses the so-called “sleeping” agents – elite operatives who specially prepared for critical situations.
